What Flominzo does for Australian payment businesses

Flominzo gives Australian payment businesses agentic payments with 100% reconciliation. Your team, or an AI agent working inside the mandates and limits you set, turns a request into a controlled payment instruction. Flominzo then reconciles every payment against the provider’s response, the settlement report, and your bank statement.

100% reconciliation means every payment ends either matched against independent evidence - the provider’s records, the settlement file and the bank statement - or as an open exception with an owner and a reason. None is silently assumed paid.

It is built for remittance providers, payout platforms, payroll and marketplace businesses, and finance teams. Flominzo is connected through rail adapters to the providers you use; rails, markets and activation are agreed for your deployment.

Australian payment rails and what reconciling them involves

Australia runs a real-time platform alongside a long-established batch system and a bill-payment network. The same business often uses all three, each with its own references and timing.

RailWhat it isWhat reconciliation has to prove
NPP and OskoThe New Payments Platform, run by Australian Payments Plus, for real-time payments addressed by account or PayID. Osko is its fast-payment service.Confirmations are fast, so the check is that each one matches an instruction you made and a line on your statement.
PayToAccount-to-account debits made under a payment agreement the customer authorises, running on the NPP.Each debit must match an active agreement, and cancelled or paused agreements must stop being collected against.
BECS Direct EntryBatch credits and debits submitted as ABA files.Credits land after the batch settles, and returns and dishonours arrive later. Tie each one to the original item.
BPAYBill payments identified by a biller code and customer reference number.Match each payment to the right customer reference, and chase payments whose reference does not match an account.
RITSThe Reserve Bank of Australia’s system for high-value and interbank settlement.Fewer, larger items. Match each one exactly to the statement.

Typical Australian flows

  • Outbound remittance: AUD collections paid out in corridors such as India, the Philippines, and the Pacific, by bank transfer or mobile money.
  • Payouts: contractors, sellers, and claims paid over the NPP or BECS.
  • Collections: PayTo and direct debit collections matched to the agreements and accounts they belong to.
  • Bill payments and business payments: BPAY payments and supplier runs, with each line reconciled on its own reference.

Flominzo keeps the original instruction separate from every execution attempt, so an uncertain outcome is investigated, not paid twice.

Regulation and your licence

Remittance service providers register with AUSTRAC and carry anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations. ASIC regulates financial services licensing, which can apply to some payment products.

Flominzo keeps the evidence and decision history those obligations rely on: what was instructed, what each provider claimed, what settled, and who decided each exception.

Flominzo is software. It works through your licensed providers and banks, and your registration, licensing, and reporting obligations stay with you. Nothing on this page is legal or regulatory advice.

Bank statements and files

Flominzo’s statement parsers today read ISO 20022 camt.053 and camt.052, SWIFT MT940, and configured CSV layouts. Ask your bank which of these it can deliver for your accounts. ABA return files, BAI2, and other bank-specific formats are assessed during scoping, and BPAY and provider reports are mapped as evidence sources for your deployment.

What happens when a bank changes its format

Where to start

Start with one flow: for example, AUD to PHP payouts through one partner, or one day of NPP payouts. Flominzo reads your existing transaction records and the evidence around them, and runs in parallel with your current process. Your systems keep their jobs while it runs.

  1. Map: agree identifiers, amounts, currencies, business dates, and which system owns each record.
  2. Run alongside: reconcile the same period your team already closed, and compare the results.
  3. Explain: every difference becomes an exception with its evidence, so you can see what the current process missed or resolved by hand.
  4. Decide: expand to more rails, corridors, or execution only when the agreed checks are met.

Questions

Can Flominzo reconcile NPP and BECS on the same account?

Yes. Both are evidence for the same ledger, so real-time and batch payments are reconciled against one bank statement and one set of records.

Does Flominzo replace our bank or payment provider?

No. Flominzo connects to the providers and banks you already use, reads their records, and reconciles them.

Do AI agents move money?

No. Agents investigate and explain. Execution runs through deterministic controls, and the mandates, limits, and approvals you set govern every payment.
