Flominzo gives UK payment businesses agentic payments with 100% reconciliation. Your team, or an AI agent working inside the mandates and limits you set, turns a request into a controlled payment instruction. Flominzo then reconciles every payment against the provider’s response, the settlement file, and your bank statement.
100% reconciliation means every payment ends either matched against independent evidence - the provider’s records, the settlement file and the bank statement - or as an open exception with an owner and a reason. None is silently assumed paid.
It is built for remittance companies, payment and e-money institutions, payout platforms, marketplaces, and finance teams that move money for other people from the UK. Flominzo is connected through rail adapters to the providers you use; rails, markets and activation are agreed for your deployment.
UK payment rails and what reconciling them involves
Each UK rail settles on a different timetable and reports its outcomes in a different place. A payment is not finished when the rail accepts it; it is finished when the evidence agrees.
| Rail | What it is | What reconciliation has to prove |
|---|---|---|
| Faster Payments | Near-instant account-to-account payments, available around the clock, run by Pay.UK. | A payment can be accepted and later returned, and the reference the recipient’s bank shows may differ from yours. Match the confirmation, any return, and the line on your statement. |
| Bacs | Direct Credits and Direct Debits on a three-working-day cycle. | Money moves days after submission. Returned credits (ARUCS) and unpaid Direct Debits (ARUDD) arrive as separate reports and must be tied back to the original item. |
| CHAPS | High-value, same-day payments settled by the Bank of England, using ISO 20022 messages. | Fewer items with larger amounts, so every break matters. Match the payment message to the statement line and any charges taken. |
| Open Banking payments | Payments initiated from the payer’s bank through a payment initiation provider, usually settling over Faster Payments. | The initiation provider’s status, the payer bank’s outcome, and your receiving account can disagree. Keep all three and reconcile to the cash. |
Typical UK flows
- Outbound remittance: a GBP collection, an FX step, and a local payout in corridors such as Ghana, Nigeria, and India, by bank transfer or mobile money. Each stage needs its own evidence.
- Domestic payouts: marketplace sellers, contractors, refunds, and claims paid over Faster Payments or Bacs.
- Business payments: supplier runs and payroll batches where each line needs its own outcome, not one batch status.
- Collections: Open Banking payments and Direct Debits matched to the customer account they settle.
In each case Flominzo keeps the original instruction separate from every execution attempt. A timeout is an unknown outcome to investigate by status lookup, never a reason to send the payment again.
Regulation and your licence
UK payment and e-money institutions are authorised and supervised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Firms that hold customer funds must safeguard them and reconcile safeguarded balances, and the FCA places increasing weight on accurate, documented safeguarding reconciliation.
Flominzo produces the evidence trail that reconciliation depends on: each payment linked to its provider records, settlement, and bank movement, with every decision and its reason kept.
Flominzo is software. It works through your licensed providers and banks, and your authorisation, safeguarding, and reporting obligations stay with you. Nothing on this page is legal or regulatory advice.
Bank statements and files
Flominzo’s statement parsers today read ISO 20022 camt.053 and camt.052, SWIFT MT940, and configured CSV layouts. Ask your bank which of these it can deliver for your accounts. Other formats, such as a portal export, are assessed during scoping. Bacs reports and provider settlement files are mapped as evidence sources for your deployment.
What happens when a bank changes its formatWhere to start
Start with one flow: for example, GBP to GHS mobile-money payouts, or one day of Faster Payments payouts. Flominzo reads your existing transaction records and the evidence around them, and runs in parallel with your current process. Your systems keep their jobs while it runs.
- Map: agree identifiers, amounts, currencies, business dates, and which system owns each record.
- Run alongside: reconcile the same period your team already closed, and compare the results.
- Explain: every difference becomes an exception with its evidence, so you can see what the current process missed or resolved by hand.
- Decide: expand to more rails, corridors, or execution only when the agreed checks are met.

Questions
Does Flominzo replace our payment provider or bank?
No. Flominzo connects to the providers and banks you already use, reads their records, and reconciles them. Your providers keep executing payments on the rails they are licensed for.
Can Flominzo help with safeguarding reconciliation?
Flominzo reconciles payments and positions against bank evidence and keeps the full trail behind each figure. How you safeguard, and what you report to the FCA, stay your decisions and your obligations.
Do AI agents move money?
No. Agents read, investigate, explain, and draft. Execution runs through deterministic controls, and the mandates, limits, and approvals you set govern every payment.
Which UK providers do you connect to?
Providers connect through the Rail Adapter Contract. The providers, rails, and activation for your deployment are agreed during scoping.
