What Flominzo does for remittance companies

Flominzo is a payment platform for remittance companies and money transfer operators: it connects the sender’s payment, the FX step, the partner payout, and the partner settlement into one payment record, and reconciles every transfer against provider, settlement, and bank evidence. It gives remittance businesses agentic payments with 100% reconciliation, while your licences, partners, and compliance programme stay yours.

A transfer is not one payment. It is a collection from the sender, a currency conversion, a payout by a partner in another country, and a settlement with that partner, often days apart and reported in different files. Operations teams need to know which stage is complete and which still needs evidence. Finance needs to know that the prefunded balance with each partner is explained.

The problems remittance companies run into

  • A sender is charged, but the payout partner’s callback never arrives, and support cannot say whether the recipient was paid.
  • A partner API times out, the transfer is retried, and the same beneficiary is paid twice.
  • The partner’s API says paid, but its daily file leaves the transfer out or reports a different amount.
  • The rate or fee the partner applied differs from the quote the sender accepted.
  • Prefunded balances with each partner drift, and explaining the difference takes days of spreadsheet work.
  • A transfer is reversed days after it was marked paid, after the month has already closed.
  • Every new corridor or partner brings another integration, another status vocabulary, and another file layout.

How Flominzo fits

Keep one payment reference across the whole flow, and investigate missing or contradictory records in context rather than across three systems.

Flominzo is connected through rail adapters to the providers you use; rails, markets and activation are agreed for your deployment.

Flominzo is software. It instructs your licensed providers and banks and proves what they did; it does not hold customer funds. Your licences, partner contracts, safeguarding, and KYC, AML and sanctions screening stay with you.

100% reconciliation for every transfer

100% reconciliation means every payment ends either matched against independent evidence - the provider’s records, the settlement file and the bank statement - or as an open exception with an owner and a reason. None is silently assumed paid.

For a remittance transfer, each leg closes on its own evidence: the collection on your acquirer or bank record, the FX on the booked rate and fee, the payout on the partner’s status and file, and the partner settlement on the movement of the prefunded balance or the bank line.

For example, a customer sends GBP 200.00 at 1 GBP = 15.60 GHS, so the recipient should receive GHS 3,120.00 in a mobile-money wallet. The transfer closes only when the partner’s file lists GHS 3,120.00 against that reference and the prefunded balance moves by the same amount. Until then it stays open, with a named owner.

Illustrative example. The amounts and rate show the method; they are not a quote.

What each team sees

Every team works from the same payment record, so a question about a transfer has one answer.

Operations
A queue of transfers that need evidence, grouped by partner and corridor, with the stage each one is stuck at.
Finance
Partner positions and prefunded balances explained line by line, and a business day that closes only when nothing is unexplained.
Support
The status of a transfer in plain language, backed by the partner’s own record, so a sender gets a true answer rather than a guess.

Markets

Remittance flows start in one market and end in another. These pages cover the rails, statement formats, and regulators in the markets Flominzo serves.

Agentic transfers with AgentPay

AgentPay lets a sender or an operator start a transfer in plain language, such as “Send £200 to Ama’s MTN wallet”, and turns it into an explicit instruction. The beneficiary, amount, rate, and your limits and approvals are checked before anything executes; the agent never moves money on its own.

AgentPay early-bird: $3,999 setup + $999 a month, for the first 20 customers, with integration by the Flominzo team included.

Where to start

Start with one corridor and one payout method. Agree the quote, beneficiary, status, and settlement records before expanding coverage, and run Flominzo in parallel with your current process.

  1. Map: agree the transfer reference, amounts, currencies, business dates, and which partner record proves each leg.
  2. Run alongside: reconcile a representative period next to your existing process, including late partner files and reversals.
  3. Expand: add corridors, partners, and payout methods once the agreed checks are met.

Questions

Does Flominzo hold customer funds or need our licence?

No. Flominzo is software that instructs your licensed partners and banks and proves what they did. Your licences, safeguarding, and regulatory obligations stay with you.

Does Flominzo do KYC and sanctions screening?

Screening and KYC stay with your compliance programme and your providers. Flominzo records the checks and approvals agreed for your deployment against each transfer, so the evidence sits with the payment.

Can we keep our existing app and partners?

Yes. Flominzo connects to the systems and partners you already use and starts by reading their records. Your app and partners keep their jobs.

What happens when a partner’s file is late?

The transfer stays open and a file-missing exception is raised with an owner. Nothing is assumed paid until the partner’s evidence arrives.
